We utilize the SmartClip™ appliance by 3M Unitek in our office. The unique bracket system uses "clip" technology known as "self-ligation" that allows the wire to slide back and forth within the bracket. The brackets are designed for easy archwire access, and the self-ligation technology creates less friction, resulting in greater comfort for the patient.
In addition, colorless, light-sensitive adhesive makes the procedure faster, cleaner and less noticeable. This means that patients have reduced discomfort caused by adjustments, they have fewer visits and they receive efficient, reliable tooth movement.
