Dr. Don Spillers earned his undergraduate B.S. in Biology at Georgia Southwestern College, his dental degree (D.M.D.) from the Medical College of Georgia, and his specialty in orthodontics from the University of Missouri, Kansas City.
Dr. Spillers is very active in the community. He is a member of the Georgia Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, a member and past president of the Central District Dental Society, South Georgia Orthodontic Study Club, Sleep Disorders Society and the Southern Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Spillers is on the board of directors for the Georgia Association of Orthodontists and Atlantic Southern Bank.
Dr. Spillers is an active member and Deacon at Cross Point Baptist Church. He is active in the Georgia Baptist Children's Home and the Rehobeth Life Care Ministry.
He is married with two children. In his spare time Dr. Spillers enjoys fishing, hunting and outdoor activities with family and friends. |
| Pierre Fauchard Academy Inducts Local Dentist |
| Dr. Spillers was inducted as a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy in Feburary 2005. Founded in 1936, this prestigious International Dental Honor Organization was established to promote professionalism, integrity and ethics. The Academy was named after Dr. Pierre Fauchard, the Father of Modern Dentistry, who was born in 1678 in Brittany, France. The Academy accomplishes its goals through literature, by encouragement of advanced and continuing education, and by honoring those who have made outstanding and meritorious contributions to the science and art of dentistry or to society. The Academy has 7,700 members in 68 nations. |
