Amanda C. – Scheduling Coordinator
Seeing the final results, when the braces are removed and the patients first see their incredible new smile, is truly the best part of my day. Everyone here celebrates! The most important aspect of my job is making sure that our patients and their families feel like a part of our family. Since I like helping people, that makes my work a joy.
As for my home life, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, and in my spare time you can often find me at the softball field, cheering on my daughter as she plays. I’m also passionate about interior design.
Becca – Orthodontic Assistant
The best part of my job is seeing our patients happy and excited about their new smiles, and knowing that I helped make that possible. I also enjoy helping our patients with braces choose their rubber band colors, as colors seem to be the craze these days. Being part of theSpillers Orthodontics team is wonderful. Everyone is so nice.
Away from work, my husband, son, and I like spending time outdoors hunting and fishing.
Brenda – Office Coordinator
With a BBA degree from Georgia College with majors in marketing and management, I am able to take care of all our office’s administrative and operational systems, IT, training, scheduling, financial operations, and coordination of interdisciplinary treatment plans with referring offices. I have worked here for over 19 years, and each day has been full of laughter! Our team is made up of caring, well-trained, fun people who all strive for excellence.
My proudest accomplishments are my two beautiful, smart, funny daughters. Away from the office, I enjoy outdoor activities, including hiking and gardening, and home improvement projects.
Danielle – Orthodontic Assistant
It is incredible to know that when patients have completed their treatment and their self-confidence has increased because of their new smile, I have played a part in the process. I feel very fortunate that my work allows me to see these changes in our amazing patients and it means I go home in the evening feeling happy.
In my personal life, I have been blessed with a wonderful husband and two beautiful little boys. We love to travel and spend time with our entire family.
Eden – Patient Relations
I am fairly new to orthodontics, having worked in health care for several years, and I love it. It is an honor to work with a team who is truly committed to providing the very best orthodontic care for our patients. I work closely with our professional relations coordinator to spread the word about Spillers Orthodontics through community and media relations and advertising.
My wonderful husband Jason and I enjoy traveling and working with the youth at our church. I also like to sing and am an avid dog lover.
Jessica – Clinical Coordinator/Orthodontic Assistant
I love our patients, who simply are the best, and knowing that I am helping them every day. I like coming into work, because I know I’ll get to see some patients who’ve become friends and meet new patients who will become my friends, too.
As clinical coordinator, I oversee the clinical processes and patient care, which allows me to keep tabs on our patients and see their new smiles as they develop. It’s very rewarding, and I go home at night knowing we’ve done good things.
When I’m at home, I’m usually spending time with my husband and our daughter. We attend all her softball games and cheer madly. As a family, we enjoy being outdoors, going camping, and traveling. We’re also big supporters of the GA Bulldogs!
John – Laboratory Tech
Seeing the joy on a patient’s face when their treatment is finished and they first see their new smile is amazing. It’s also why I come into work each morning: I know we are making a difference for some incredible people. My job tasks keep me busy, fabricating the custom appliances for our patients.
Away from the office, I enjoy fishing and working outside on the weekends. My wife and I share our lives with a wonderfully spoiled dog, Murphy.
Kathy – Treatment Coordinator
As a treatment coordinator, I have the privilege of walking our new patients through the new patient process. This includes assisting the doctors with the initial exams, presenting treatment information and payment options, and scheduling patients to begin treatment. Helping our patients feel comfortable and get excited about their treatment is very rewarding. Drs. Spillers and Gordon are so passionate and our staff is completely devoted to patient care.
When my dream of playing professional football didn’t pan out, I settled for watching it on TV! I love watching football and spending time with my family, including my wonderful husband of 25 years. We’re both big readers, cat lovers, and genealogy enthusiasts. We also love the outdoors: walking, biking and working in the yard.
Lacey – Orthodontic Assistant
My career in the dental field began in 2006 and I continue to learn and grow as an assistant each day. I am a Columbus State University graduate with a degree in health science and a concentration in dentistry. The best part of my job is seeing patients transition from being overly shy and insecure about their smiles to having an undeniable confidence and wanting to smile all the time.
I love spending my personal time with my partner, family and friends. I enjoy traveling and living life to the fullest.
Marilyn – Inventory Specialist
The most rewarding aspect of my work comes at the end of a patient’s treatment, seeing their smiling face and knowing that we helped to make a real difference in their life. In our office, I am responsible for ordering and tracking our orthodontic supplies, keeping everything organized so we can best care for our patients.
As for my personal life, I am married and have two children and five grandchildren, and I love traveling.
Mistie – Orthodontic Assistant
My career in the dental field began in 1993. I joined Team Spillers in 2015, and continue to learn and grow daily as I work with the doctors and our amazing team. Helping people achieve a beautiful and healthy smile is very rewarding. But I especially love interacting and building relationships with our patients and their families. It helps make each day fun and filled with laughter.
My husband, Spence, and I enjoy traveling and spoiling our two Boston Terriers, Mia and Bailey.
Molly – Orthodontic Assistant
Because I get to interact with all our patients and follow their progress, I am thrilled when we see the final results of our team effort. Those incredibly beautiful, healthy, individual smiles are so amazing! I am both X-ray certified and expanded duties certified, and I bond and debond braces and appliances for our patients.
When I’m not at work, chances are that I’m with my husband of 23 years, Mike, with whom I have three children. We enjoy traveling and watching football and baseball.
Nikki – Orthodontic Assistant
I love seeing our patients’ before and after photos. It is amazing the difference orthodontic treatment can make in a person’s smile and how much it increases their self-esteem! Taking care of each patient’s needs is critical to me. I make sure that they are comfortable, informed, and happy during their appointment, and I keep them updated on the progress that they’re making, too.
The loves of my life are my husband and daughter, and spending time with them is very important to me. I also enjoy shopping and going to the movies.
Shannon – Scheduling and Communications Coordinator
Every day I get to interact with our patients and their parents, and each encounter brings with it great conversations, laughter, and a chance to learn something new. Our office is busy and I am in charge of building and maintaining our patient schedule and all outgoing communications to general dentists and specialists.
When I’m at home, I’m usually spending time with my husband and two lovely daughters. And while I believe we should treat others as we would like to be treated, I do tend to favor anyone or anything having to do with the Florida State Seminoles!
Susan O. – Professional Relations
It seems to be very cool to wear braces these days, and seeing how excited our patients are to be starting their orthodontic treatment is contagious. Since I’m in charge of professional relations, I handle our website, contests, social media, dental team meetings, and a host of other things.
Away from the office, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I keep busy antiquing, decorating, and traveling.
Susan P. – Patient Services
Being able to interact with our amazing patients and their families and seeing the beautiful, happy smiles as a result of our orthodontic treatments make my work rewarding. At our practice, I perform consultations, present fees, schedule clinical starts, and assist with new patients. All this means I get to meet and know each patient and then follow them as their new smile is created.
Outside of work, I love hanging out with friends and family, watching Georgia football, and taking any and every opportunity to spend time at the beach.
